Oral history interview with Polly Darnell

Polly Darnell describes growing up in Connecticut, hearing of a commune in Putney, Vermont, coming to Vermont to attend Windham College, and becoming involved with the Red Clover Collective in Putney. She speaks of the Free Vermont movement and working with other communes and collectives, and some of the conflicts that arose, and of the Red Paint Collective, a children's collective in Fletcher, Vermont. She talks of working for the Common Ground Restaurant in Brattleboro, Vermont, before enrolling at Goddard College's Adult Degree Program, where she began studying Vermont and Vermont history, focusing on women's work in Vermont.
