Poster for a Republican rally at the opera house in Enosburg Falls featuring Honorable E. S. Brigham of Montpelier and Miss Consuelo Northrop of Washington, DC. Elbert Sidney Brigham represented Vermont in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1925-1931. Over the course of her career, Consuelo Northop Bailey served as the first Vermont woman admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, Chittenden County State Senator, South Burlington's representative to the Vermont Legislature, Speaker of the House (VT), and the first female Lieutenant Governor in the country. At the time of this rally, she was the Vice-Chairman of the Republican State Committee and executive secretary for U.S. Senator Ernest W. Gibson.
