Kellie DeCicco discusses her experiences working at the Converse Home in Burlington, Vermont, during the COVID-19 pandemic. She contracted what she believed was COVID at the very beginning of the pandemic and exhibited signs of long COVID before the virus was fully understood. At the same time, she was part of the effort to keep COVID out of Converse Home. She describes her staff's work to protect Converse Home residents, how the whole community attempted to keep spirits up, and the outbreaks that occurred despite their best efforts.

Kellie DeCicco moved to Vermont in 2002 and worked as an office coordinator and scheduler at the Visiting Nurse Association in Colchester, Vermont, for ten years. She began employment at the Converse Home in Burlington, Vermont, in 2012. She initially started as a scheduler at Converse Home before moving up to become co-executive director on 1 October 2022.
