Danny Barry Stein (born Barry Phillip Stein) describes his early life in Overbrook, Pennsylvania, and his college years at Pennsylvania State University, where he became involved with Students for a Democratic Society. He speaks of attending the Chicago SDS convention in June, 1969 and the split that gave birth to the Weatherman Organization, a group he joined. The bulk of the interview revolves around his activities with the Weatherman, including his participation in the "Days of Rage," in Chicago in October, 1969. and his years living as a fugitive from the F.B.I. in Brattleboro, Vermont from 1970 to 1974. He also speaks of his involvement in the Green Mountain Health Center in Brattleboro, eventually becoming its director under the name Daniel Wight, and his decision in 1974 to turn himself in to the Cook County authorities.
