Description
This more modern color postcard features the first covered bridge you drive through on Cox Brook Road, which wends its way over to Moretown. The bridge was built in 1872 and spans the Dog River. On the back of the postcard someone has written that a railroad ticket agent used to live in the house you can see. Looking through this bridge you can also see the second of three bridges on this road, the Newell Bridge, which spans Cox Brook. This is the only place in Vermont that you can see two covered bridges at the same time.
