Postcard announcing the final summer of the Carriage House Studio. Postmarked July 27, 1949. The Carriage House Studio was opened in 1934 by Sarah Pomeroy and Francis Augustus Rugg in Arlington, Vermont. By the time they closed their operations in the "old carriage house" in 1949, the studio had received visitors from 39 U.S. states, Canada, and Europe.
