Northfield Graded and High School

The Graded School, also popularly known as the Gray Building, on the rightwas built in 1876, after a fire destroyed the previous Northfield Academy building. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 and continued as an elementary school until the 1990's. It now houses services and small businesses. The Brick High School on the left was built in 1906 and was in use until about 1973, when it was deemed unsafe; it was razed in 1976.
