Description
National guidon of the 1st Vermont Light Artillery Battery. Silk broadcloth in swallowtail form with red and white stripes, a blue canton and painted stars. No determination of manufactuer has been made, but the flag was probably made between 1861 and 1863 and would have been sent to Montpelier when the 1st Battery mustered out in August of 1864.
