Description

A photograph of Major General Leonard Wood, who served as the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, Military Governor of Cuba, and Governor-General of the Philippines. He was also a prominent member of the Republican Party and was considered for nomination in the 1920 presidential election. However, it was Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge's predecessor, who would receive the nomination.
