Photograph of the sixty foot stack of barrels and kindling of the bonfire constructed for the Dewey Day festivities in Montpelier, Vermont on October 12, 1899. The celebrations were in the honor of Admiral George Dewey, who was born in Montpelier, for his actions during the Spanish-American War.
