Photograph of the National Life Insurance Company's fifth home office at 116 State Street in Montpelier, Vermont. The building was was designed by the architect S. Edwin Tobey of Boston, in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. It was occupied by National Life from 1891 until 1922 when they moved to a new office building at 131 State Street. The building is now owned by the State of Vermont.
