Title

Flood of 1911 (?) on South Main Street

Description

Postcard shows flood damage in Barre, Vermont. Water flows down the Stevens Branch of the Winooski river, pushing several ice floes over a dam and downstream. An industrial building, perhaps Trow and Holden, is on the left bank of the river. Three onlookers stand on the right bank next to an outbuilding. On the verso the date is written, April 11, 1911.
