Description
Map and notes, including lots with owners' names, town boundaries, lakes, and rivers, of Sutton, Vermont. It was chartered as Billymead in 1782, and the residents voted to change the town's name to Sutton in 1810. However, the name change wasn't officially sanctioned by the State Legislature until 1812. Pages 46-47 of the original. Title supplied by map maker.
