"Old Brown Ark, Barre Vt."

Postcard featuring a photograph of the wood frame store building known as the "old Brown Ark," a wooden frame building at 36-40 North Main Street in Barre, Vermont. This building was replaced by the Granite Block around in 1887. Five people in hats are standing in front of L.M. Averill's Groceries. In the adjacent building, the H.Z. Mills dry goods store is also visible.
