The stacked lumber is near where a large building that houses the Vermont Lottery Commission and Express Care is now located (1311 Barre-Montpelier Road, old Harry's Department Store). The covered bridge in the distance is a railroad bridge (Dodge's bridge?) over the Stevens Branch.
