Wallace B. Marvin built a picturesque recreational area for his family opposite the family farm at 370 River St. in Montpelier, Vermont, in about 1905. The complex included a pond with a fountain and a summer house or gazebo. In this image, one can also see the manmade waterfall and rowboat, and flagpole with American flag.
