Poster includes quote from Director General of Railroads, William Gibbs McAdoo, to the railroad shopmen at Altoona, Pennsylvania, on September 12, 1918: "Every bad locomotive is a Prussian soldier. Every idle locomotive is working for the Kaiser. Every live locomotive is an American solider. Every moving locomotive is working for Uncle Sam. Let us get on top of the Prussian locomotives and make American soldiers out of them."
