Description
2nd Vermont Infantry Regiment national flag. Attached to staff by sleeve. Canton style is rectangular, and is 24.5 in by 37 in. There are 34 gold painted stars arranged in a double ellipse. The stripes are very faded and measure 5.25 in. in width. Fringe is present. Donald Wickman has identifed this as a flag of the 4th Regiment, Infantry (see "Our faded and torn banners, The tale they tell," July 2006).
