Description
This color postcard provides a good bird's-eye-view of Northfields business district and Common, including the Civil War Monument. The train station (now a bank) can be seen behind the Common, and the bandstand to the left of the Common. And if you look hard enough, you can see a fenced-in fountain at the far end of the Common, which is still in use today (without the fence). Alas, both the bandstand and the large trees are now gone, although the view is not much that different today. Just more cars!
