A photo of the flooding and destruction at the Rutland Railroad Station in Proctor, Vermont. Written on the back of the photo: "Flood water from the Otter Creek entered at left through a deep railroad cut with great force, gauging deep holes around station. Water spread out here and only reached to roof of wrecked box car in center of picture. Just before the height of the flood, near midnight, two men were rescued from station with a rope." --Harold K.
