2nd Vermont Infantry Regimental Flag

Description

2nd Vermont Infantry regimental flag. Attached to staff by sleeve. Fringe present. A large eagle, with wings out swept, bearing the national shield on its breast lies in the flag's center. Above the eagle's head are thirty-four stars arranged in two arcs and below is a red scroll designed to bear the regiment's name. In the case of the 2nd Regiment, it was left blank. The flag conforms to the standards manufactured by Evans & Hassall of Philadelphia.
