1st Vermont Heavy Artillery national flag. Attached to staff by sleeve. Fringe present. Canton style is square, and is 35 in by 37.5 in. There are 35 gold painted stars arranged in a 7-7-7-7-7 pattern. The stripes still have their color. Battle honors are inscribed in gold. Place of issue: Virginia. Date of issue: 1865.
